The Future Tenses

Watch Video

To speak about the simple future use will + the present tense verb.

Examples: will go, will see, will know, will wait, will stop

Alternative: use to be + going to + verb

Examples: is going to stop, am going to drive, are going to work, am going to speak, is going to finish

Tip: When speaking, people usually change "going to" to "gunnu" with "u" as in "up" sounds.

Examples: I'm gunnu tell a good joke. He's gunnu do well at his interview. They're gunnu finish the project on time.

When to Use the Simple Future

Use the simple future to express a future action in a general way.

Examples

1) I will teach English for a while.

2) I will stay in this city for a few years, I think.
