Simple Present with Two Verbs

Sometimes we use the verb + infinitive. Sometimes we use the verb + present participle.

* You do use an -ing verb with the present perfect progressive, i.e. have been going.
** Make sure the meaning is clear, i.e. He learns running could mean that he learns about running or that he studies and runs at the same time.
