to get extra practice with the present perfect. Remember that the present perfect is mixed with the present, past and other tenses to tell a story. Review present perfect patterns here. Also, use the present perfect progressive at least once in each answer. 1. Describe yourself as if you are at a job interview. 2. Think of someone you know who has experienced hardship, such as an illness or a loss. Tell the story of this person's experience and how the person has coped. Present Perfect and How-To Directions 3. Explain how to do something, such as how to bake cookies, how to build a model airplane, or how to learn a language. For this one, use the present tense and also use the present perfect for before and after phrases. Example: After the cookies have cooled, take them off the baking sheet. * Also, see if you can use the present perfect progressive one time. * |
