Practice the Present Perfect

Answer in the affirmative or the negative. Answer in complete sentences.

Example: No, I have never eaten anything strange.    Yes, I have gone kayaking. I went last year.

1. Have you ever eaten or drank anything strange (or something that others might consider strange)?

2. Have you ever gone kayaking or canoeing?

3. Have you ever parachuted out of an airplane?

4. Have you ever danced all night at a party or festival?

5. Have you ever planned a trip around the world?

6. Have you ever been in a car accident?

7. Have you ever broken your arm or your leg?

8. Have you ever been in trouble with the police?

You can also begin the question with What ...

9. What is the funniest thing you've ever done?

10. What is the scariest movie you've ever seen?

Note: Since "have ever ____" is a long phrase, most people use the contraction for have unless it's the first word. It's good to use the contraction in your answer. Always remember: you can use contractions very often, but never with the the simple three-word Yes answer.

Yes, I have.      Yes, I've gone to Canada.       Yes, I am.      Yes, I'm doing well.
